Irene Chin

My educational background is in English writing and Fine Art. I got my BFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. I made my first experimental film as my thesis at SVA. After graduating I produced my first film, which my partner Kurt Vincent directed, a feature length documentary called THE LOST ARCADE (2016) about the last video arcade in Chinatown Fair. Kurt and I just co-directed a 30 minute music documentary, FRIENDS OF WONDER, about a live Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett concert at a community run theatre in Jersey City. Kurt and I recently directed our first narrative short film in San Fransisco this Spring, and we are currently editing it- set for premiere later 2018/early 2018. Kurt and I are in pre-production for our next feature length documentary about Brooklyn's Prospect Park, set to shoot Summer 2019. Kurt and I are direct and edit our films.
